150-metre staff call system: for an entrance that is far from the duty desk

A four-part kit: a tactile sign with raised imagery and Braille, a wireless call button with battery, a receiver for staff, and an acrylic rain cover for the button. A person needing assistance finds the sign by touch, presses the button, and the signal reaches a member of staff.

Two components with different standing — stated plainly

The tactile sign is an accessibility element. Its placement is governed by ДБН В.2.2-40:2018: an external sign is fixed to the right of the entrance at 1.2–1.5 m (cl. 8.3.4). The Braille parameters themselves — dot diameter, relief height, spacing — are set by ДСТУ ISO 17049:2017.

The call button is a service tool, not code compliance. Under cl. 3.36 of ДБН В.2.2-40:2018, a button for calling staff is not an accessibility element and is not a reasonable accommodation. It does not replace a ramp or an accessible entrance and will not satisfy an inspection. Its purpose is different: once a person is at the entrance, they have a way to call for help rather than waiting for someone to happen to come out.

How this model differs from the base version

150 metres instead of 50. Not "bigger is better" but a matter of specific buildings. A school whose entrance is in the opposite wing from the staff room. A hospital with a separate block. A public service centre with the duty officer on the first floor. A car park where the button is at the gate and staff are inside. If more than two solid walls or more than 30–40 metres separate button and receiver, the 50 m base model will not reach.

Acrylic rain cover included. A clear shield protecting the button from rain, snow and direct water. This is exactly what ordinary façade kits lack: a battery-powered button flooded in autumn fails silently — nobody finds out until someone tries to use it.

300×150 mm sign. Twice the area of the 200×150 base version. More area means larger print, so it is legible from considerably further away by a person with low vision. On a façade that matters: an internal sign is read up close, an external one must be spotted from the pavement.

Made for your facility

The sign is produced to your artwork in PVC. A combined format is available: information in Cyrillic and duplicated in Braille.

On button mounting height

The button must be within reach of a wheelchair user: under cl. 6.4.6, controls are installed at 0.85–1.1 m from floor level. A mounting diagram with heights is supplied with the kit.
