Tactile information signs (Braille signs for the visually impaired, blind and people with reduced mobility) are used in accordance with "DBN V.2.2-40:2018 Inclusion of buildings and structures" under the program of the first lady of the country Olena Zelenska "Accessible Ukraine".

These standards apply to all buildings and structures regardless of the scope and form of ownership to ensure accessibility and free orientation in space for people with special needs and people with reduced mobility (MGN).

We manufacture signs in accordance with the aforementioned DBN and GOST ISO 17049. This sign must carry information in flat-printed text (i.e. volumetric), duplicated in Braille, since according to statistics, only 7% to 10% of blind people have learned Braille, which is why the signs carry information in Cyrillic with duplicated information in relief-dot Braille. Also another important point - these signs are needed not only by the blind, but also by people with visual impairments, for this purpose the information is applied in an enlarged and contrasting color in relation to the background, in our case a yellow background and a black image. Why yellow, and not blue or red? The reason is simple: yellow is the last color of the spectrum that visually impaired people can distinguish.

These signs are attached to the right of the door at a distance of 25-30 cm from the door and at a height of 120-150 cm from the floor level. It is not just located right next to the door, and not on the door itself, because the signs are needed for the visually impaired and blind, and this can be dangerous for this category of people. Imagine a situation when a sign for the blind is hung on the door, a person stands and reads the information on the sign with his fingers and at this moment the door opens - injury is guaranteed!
