"Fortress": a room where a child has somewhere to go

A large wooden play and exercise complex: two house-shaped towers joined by a bridge with monkey bars, and a climbing wall between them. 278.3 × 71.6 × 222.8 cm, for children aged 3 to 8.

Climbing wall. Every move requires deciding where to place a foot and which hold to reach next — motor planning and bilateral coordination.
Monkey bars. Hanging and traversing by the arms is the strongest proprioceptive input in the whole structure. In sensory integration such activity is used as regulating: afterwards a child settles to table work more easily.
Two house towers with drawing boards — somewhere to hide. An over-aroused child needs not only an outlet but a corner to step out of the game.
The bridge — crossing at height: balance and careful movement.

Two children at once. The twin towers let two play without getting in each other's way.

Materials: beech and birch plywood, hand-sanded edges. Tested at 100 kg; maximum working load 60 kg. Two-year warranty.
